about the shrekys
We were first called the Baso Protection Squad which you might be familiar with because it was us who was dominating the live chat in Miss A's youtube video premiere. At first, we were just playing games and talking about random things until someone asked an admin for permission to make a gdm for stan twt solidiers.On February 6, 2021, the #BasoProtectionSquad gdm on twitter was made. It was supposed to be a just-for-fun chat room but an admin asked us if we could help organize the SVMU (Solidiers' Virtual Meet Up) and of course, we agreed to help. By then, the rest of the admins were added to the gdm for the planning. Being the lazy human beings that we are, we were just chilling at first but as the day of the SVMU is coming near, we decided to build teams and get our own role. It was really a pressure to all of us but after the event, it was all worth it. Especially when Miss A entered the google meet!A month has passed and the gdm was like a gallery full of memes. When Madame Alys joined the fun, she sent a meme of shrek's face (see the photo on home), we then started using that meme a lot until the gdm was now full of shrek's memes. "Mukha na tayong alagad ni Shrek," a member chatted, "Hindi na tayo Solidier—(Shrek)lidier na." and that's where the name Shreklidiers and Shrekys (or Shrekies according to Miss A) originated. Thanks to Madame Alys' meme haha!

what we do
The Shrekys are known for being makalat on twitter. So expect random thoughts and imaginations on your feed if you're following any of them haha!Aside from kalats, we also held some projects for Miss A such as #BuWandat where we took pictures of the moon with a phrase "The moon is beautiful, isn't it?" to say I Love You to April Avery, the Ever Enough lyric thread to let her know she's worthy and appreciated, and the latest is the #AprilAverYouMatter trend when Miss A was treated rudely. And oh, the Solidiers' first ever Movie Night was hosted by the shrekys too! It's not that much yet but we're glad that solidiers are participating and I might as well say that you can look forward to more projects like this in the near future ♡The group does not only do appreciation twts just for Miss A though, but also for its members. Whenever any of us feels down and is in need of comfort, we talk to each other in secret and surprise the shreky with appreciation twts compiled in a thread. We are hoping that our words may somehow embrace you and tell you that things will be okay for you soon. And guess what? We also have events exclusively for shrekies!

recruitment
The Shreklidiers decided to have their first recruitment on March 6, on the same day as the Shreniors' (seniors or the first baso protection squad members) monthsary, and it was a success! We also talked about having a recruitment every month of July and December. Of course, like the aas houses, chapters and cabins, there is also a wipeout in the gdm.For more announcement regarding the recruitment, you might want to follow our mama ace on twitter @arguellace. She will be the one to announce the day and time of the said recruitment... and I suggest you take some notes about AAStories or April Avery herself because you'll have to answer and pass a questionnaire before actually joining us.
